Friday Coffee House is more than a place to grab your morning coffee. It's a space where adults with disabilities find meaningful employment, where every cup contributes to connection, and where the atmosphere feels like the best part of Friday — warm, welcoming, and full of joy.
In 2025, Belong Co. and Luke Caldwell combined their strengths to open Friday Coffee House in the historic Firehouse building in Boise's North End.

OUR STORY
IN THE SUMMER OF 2024, while flying back to Boise, Luke Caldwell heard about a local nonprofit called Belong Co. Their mission was simple but profound: to serve adults with disabilities through meaningful employment and community connection, often through a mobile coffee and ice cream cart.
Soon after, Luke stopped by one of their pop-ups, ordered a coffee, and met the team. In that moment, he knew he wanted to be part of their mission. As a dad to children with special needs, Luke had long dreamed of creating a coffee shop that employed adults with disabilities. Just weeks later, he invited Belong Co. to be the beneficiary of a Timber and Love warehouse sale—and from that collaboration, a new idea was born.
Belong Co. was founded in 2022 by former special education teacher Kendall Peake, who recognized the lack of resources for adults with disabilities in the Treasure Valley. Since its launch, Belong Co. has hosted hundreds of events, employed dozens of adults with disabilities, and fostered belonging for thousands. Luke Caldwell, best known as co-star of HGTV's Boise Boys and Outgrown and founder of Timber and Love, had built his career around creating purposeful spaces and meaningful connections. Together, Kendall's passion for advocacy and Luke's vision as an entrepreneur and designer set the stage for something greater.
In 2025, Belong Co. and Luke Caldwell combined their strengths to open Friday Coffee House in the historic Firehouse building at Fort and 16th in Boise's North End.
